Vincent tilted his head down enough to hide his frown in the collar of his jacket, watching as the bar tender scurried over with the bourbon. He kept his silence until the man had left and after a hesitant moment he took the offered glass.

A slight nod is all Rufus would get before the man knocked the glass back in one swift go, sliding the now empty glass back onto the bar.]

"I see." Being in a crowd has never bothered Tseng. There were times for peace and serenity, and there were times for boisterousness. A bar was hardly a place to expect peace, and so Tseng never did, and mentally prepared himself for any situation that could arise.

"I enjoy reading, when I have the time," he ventured, putting a bit of himself out for Cissnei.

Oh she could deal with crowds when need be but she really just didn't like spending her free time around them. Free time was meant to be relaxing. This? Not really all that relaxing most of the time.

[Rufus has been quite enjoying sitting back in his booth in the bar and watching the drunken revelry around himself. He's been sipping at his bourbon, but there is no reason to drink such a fine liquor as if it were water. Better to savor it.

The distinctive uniform of a SOLDIER caught his attention, and after a moment of quiet observation, Rufus decided to approach the man.]

What are you having?

[Rufus stared in mild horror as the alcohol was dispatched so quickly. Bourbon was meant to be sipped, tasted and savored, not... Taken as a shot. He almost wanted to deny the man any more of the golden liquid, but he also wanted to get him at least tipsy...

... So he poured him another glass.]

Because we are both here right now. Because I've had some drinks and I think it would be fun. Do you need further reasons?
