[Phichit slides into the chair next to Yuuri's grinning from ear to ear.] Why not? You worked so, so hard for this! And you've improved so much with Viktor as your coach...

[He dropped his voice to a sneaky whisper.] Maybe I should replace Ciao Ciao with a hot guy, too!

That's exactly why it feels like--

[Yuuri's words are cut off by a laugh that escapes him after Phichit whispers that last bit to him and he bumps the other with his shoulder.]

Maybe that's the real secret to winning. Though that doesn't really explain Victor being a five time champion...

[Phichit's hand flies to his mouth so he can smother the terrible scream at where his mind goes.]

Oh GOOOOOD Yuuri, you put the worst image into my head just now! You're terrible! Everyone thinks you're innocent but I know the truth.

...Speaking of innocent, what did Viktor say about you two getting married?

[There may be just the slightest flush to Yuuri's cheeks but he manages a small little grin all the same.]

No one will ever believe you, Phichit-kun! [And honestly it's only around Phichit that he can loosen up like this. He's getting there with Victor but it's still not the same as being around the person he lived with for five years.

And cue the blush getting worse.]

He--we...we haven't really discussed it since then.

[phichitchu]

[Phichit's shoulders drop a little, as he sobers up a bit, suddenly serious.]

Wait, really..? I mean... that makes me kind of angry. He's not really going to make you get a gold medal first, is he?

[musicinmotion]

[Yuuri looked down, absently turning the ring on his finger.]

It's...complicated. We still haven't even really officially decided that it's an engagement. I mean, I bought the rings as a good luck charm and I know--I know how it looks and what they are but it just seemed like the best thing to get. And then that dinner happened and we never really talked about it after that?

[But they had never taken the rings off. So there was that.]

[Phichit doesn't look judgmental at all; honestly, he thinks it's adorable and totally Yuuri, and his smile reflects as much.]

You are so cute, Yuuri. And I can tell he makes you happy, and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more than you. But if you need me to kick his ass for you, just say the world. International idol or not, no one messes with you and gets away with it.

[Despite his blush Yuuri still smiles warmly--perhaps even a bit shyly.]

He's been one of the best things to ever happen to me. [And not because it was Victor. It was because of what Victor had helped Yuuri do. Helped him accomplish and realize about himself. He had helped him find confidence and find himself in a way and that meant more to Yuuri than he knew how to put into words.]

I promise if anything happens you'll be the first to know, though. Just..no threatening him, okay?

[phichitchu]

[Now Phichit pouts a little dramatically.]

Aw, but I was ready to use my intimidation skills on him! But as long as you'll keep talking to me, too, I think I'll be okay.

[He squeezes his friend's hand.]

God. I'm happy you didn't retire. If you did, who knows when I'd ever get to see you again.

[musicinmotion]

[The pout and the comment get a laugh out of Yuuri that he does his best to muffle with a hand over his mouth.]

I'd love to see you use your intimidation skills on him, Phichit-kun. [Please. Let him film it too.] Why would I not talk to you?

[He returns the squeeze as the hand that was over his mouth slips away, a confused look on his face.]

Just because I'm dating Victor doesn't mean I won't have time for my friends.

[Silly Phichit.]

Yeah I...I'm sorry. About making everyone think I was going to.

[Phichit is trying to maintain the pout, but it's hard when he wants to smile so much.]

But I already have your life planned out! It'll be tough competition, with JJ and Otabek and me there, but you'll win Gold at the Four Continents, then march off the ice and tell Viktor, "I believe you owe me a wedding." [He mimicks Yuuri's voice but makes it sound really sexy.] Then you'll get married, and keep skating together and dominating competitions until you're so old we're all begging you to retire. But then! You'll start scouting for young talent to coach and you'll become the most vicious coaching pair in the history of skating, and all your skaters will always win, and you'll be unstoppable! And you'll have three puppies, and maybe kids if you want them? You would be a good dad, Yuuri.

And in all that, if you don't have time to chat as much, I'll be very supportive and understanding. Because I can't think of anyone who deserves a happy ending more than you, Yuuri.

[He finally does smile, very warmly, showing off his dimples.]

And all of this starts with me giving Viktor a serious dressing down about how if he hurts you, I'm not above murdering him with his own skates!
