Bard isn't about to object to the fact that Thranduil's hand stays where it is, relaxing under the weight of that hand.
"There is nothing wrong with my hair and it's not about to change anytime soon, Thranduil," the other pilot drawled, huffing lightly and making a show of being annoyed even if it was a weak show. He was too tired and too at ease to play the game well but hey, he could at least try. Light banter was nice.
His eyes stay focused on the jaeger though they widen, briefly, in surprise as he feels his partner lean against him. There's a moment where he does nothing and just listens, something twisting in his stomach before he lets out a quiet chuckle.
"I'm sorry," he admitted, relaxing and leaning into Thranduil in return. "I just..reacted. I was worried..scared even that something was going to happen to you and I just moved. I know you are quite capable of taking care of yourself, I've been working with you long enough to know that. But I just..."
