I need to watch it again too. IT'S BEEN TOO LONG

"No, I didn't know. It's been quite some time since you've reminded me so I completely forgot."

It came out as a drawl and Bard didn't even bother to look away from their jaeger, having felt Thranduil's approach and knew that the other had that disapproving look on his face. They said it was a side effect of drifting, that residual connection that kept both pilots and jaeger tied to one another. Most said that it wasn't a real thing but Bard was inclined to think differently; especially when it came to his co-pilot. There were times when he could feel the emotions coming off Thranduil even when the other was keeping a blank face and other times he swore he could sense their jaeger even when he was nowhere near it.

"What fiasco?" he asked, finally looking at his co-pilot, head lifting off his folded arms as an eyebrow lifted. "I only did what needed to be done."

The kaiju had been a new category--stronger than any of the ones they'd faced before and smarter. The blow Bard had taken was meant for the opposite side of their jaeger--Thranduil's side--but he'd forced the other to move with him in a dodge and took the glancing blow that resulted.

But it had given them the chance to run the beast through with the built in blades on their jaeger's arms.
