Steve really hated his birthday. He didn't tell anyone that he hated it, because why ruin everyone's fun. It would be counterproductive. He especially hated the fireworks on said day.

But, sitting on the roof of his townhouse in Georgetown, watching New Years Eve fireworks with Sam. Now that was the way to go, and he loved it.
