Thor felt the exhaustion creep up on him rapidly now that he was laying down. He was in a doze when Loki returned, startling awake in a shot of adrenaline at the sudden presence of a warm form next to him. His head snaps around, almost shooting out off the mattress before his mind caught up and he realized it was Loki.
He breathes a sigh of relief through his nose, the adrenaline fading quickly to make room for that exhaustion again. Thor rolled to his side, his hand resting on Loki's chest, over his brother's heart. There was no thought behind it except wanting to feel that there was a living, breathing person beside him and to know it was his brother.
