The last thing Lyra wanted to do was go to the shopping center but she hadn't been getting as long as usual. Food was scarce and she didn't like interacting with other people--especially families because they would ask where her parents were--so here she was.
Unlike Fushimi she was barefoot, clearly not worried about injury as she scampered up some rubble and carefully slid down the other side. The bag on her back was pulled tight so it didn't move against her at all, a bat sticking out of it, just in case she needed it, though otherwise it was empty. The vending machines were her first destination, the little girl carefully grabbing a few things that would make the least amount of noise possible.
Movement out of the corner of her eye had her looking towards the electronics store, Lyra frowning slightly. There it was again. Faint, but there. Curiosity was her worst enemy and the little girl crept over, slinking inside to see who it was and what they were up to.
