Maybe Victor did have at least a little understanding but he'd never claim to be an expert. He couldn't fix Yuuri's anxiety. He just needed to not feed it until it became so all consuming.

The older skater shifts, getting his skates under him and he helps Yuuri to his feet. He'd really gotten lucky, hadn't he? Yuuri probably thought himself the lucky one but Victor had screwed up royally yet here they were.. Still together.
