[It had been one hell of a week. It seemed as though everything that could go wrong had gone wrong and just didn't get any better. By the end of it, through all the improvised missions and injuries, Cissnei was just done.

Which is why she had ended up in a slightly seedier bar than she probably would have gone into down in the slums, a drink in hand as she sat at the bar. There had already been quite a few comments made at her and to her from some of the other patrons but she'd ignored it. For one, she just didn't care and two? She could knock them all flat on their asses if she had to.

She wasn't going to waste her time though. Right now she just wanted to drink and forget about how awful everything had been.

And judging by the three empty bottles already in front of her, she was well on her way there.]

Parties are... not particularly Tseng's favorite activity. No, he's not as stuck up as everyone supposes he is, and he lets loose in his own ways now and then. But he'd been urged to at least make an appearance, so there you have him. The Turk had stationed himself at a high table off to the side near the center of a wall so he could see everything and react quickly should anything arise.

Off duty didn't mean off his guard.

That said, he had a half-finished glass of whiskey in hand, his third actually, so it wasn't as though he wasn't allowing himself a vice here or there. Polite smiles are sent in the direction of anyone whose gaze lingers too long, trying to dispel the idea that Turks are capable of killing with a glance and are prone to doing so constantly. Honestly, it isn't going well, and most would rather avoid looking at Tseng at all, let alone go anywhere near him. For the most part, this suits him just fine.

[Fuck cactuars.

Really that's all Reno's got to say about this week. Last week it was 'fuck chocobos' and the week before that was 'fuck that fucking Zolom seriously fuck that'.

Needless to say, this month has been stressful. As soon as midnight hit and he was off work for the next week, Reno had informed everyone that he was getting drunk, they knew where to look for him, come get him if it's an emergency.

So Reno is two shots of tequila and a rum and coke into his drinking at this particular bar tonight.]

Oh Tseng. You just never change.

Sliding into one of the open seats at the table the lead Turk had claimed, Cissnei is nursing her second drink of the night--a bottle of some sort of beer that isn't the greatest but it'll do. She cups her chin in her hand, elbow propped on the table as she lifts her bottle at him with her free hand, a hint of a smile teasing at her lips.

"Really loosening up tonight, aren't you sir?" she muses in a teasing tone, well aware that the other Turk had actually been drinking his fair share.

Not wasting any time, are you?

[Leaning on the bar, Cissnei motions for the tender to come over and orders herself a rum and coke as well. She's not much of a drinker, herself, but this week had been pretty god awful and she needs it. They all do, actually, but she would honestly be surprised to see many of the others show up.

Which is part of the reason she was here. Someone had to make sure Reno didn't get himself into too much trouble.]

[He's a grown man, thank you. He can take care of himself]

Nope. I'm not stoppin' until I don't remember what cacutar needles feel like.

[Cissnei can't help but let out an amused snort, taking her drink as the bar tender slides it over.]

I can't say that I blame you.

Gonna have scars for the rest of my life, an' not the sexy kind.

[Grumble grumble]

I'm sure you can find someone in the slums into the other kind, Reno.

[It comes out as a drawl as she lays a hand on his shoulder.]

There are all sorts in the world.

[And yes, her lips are quirking into a smirk.]

[Reno rolls his eyes and elbows her lightly]

I ain't desperate, please. Do I look desperate to you?

[An eyebrow goes up as she playfully knocks his arm away, lifting her drink to take a sip.]

Depends on your definition of desperate, I suppose.

There is no surprised evident on Tseng's face when Cissnei approaches, taking a seat, but he has to wonder. She's a beautiful young woman with a great deal of charm. She had no need to remain by her boss at a party, yet there she was.

"More than usual, yes," he responds with a slight smile. "Are you enjoying the evening?"

In what world am I desperate?

[He really hadn't meant to end up in a bar with a bunch of Turks. It just sort of..happened. He'd really just wanted a drink and some time to himself but instead he'd ended up here.

Watching some of the most dangerous people on the planet get shit faced.

Snagging a table for himself in the corner, Cloud had tried to keep to himself as much as possible preferring just to watch. The Buster Sword rested against the wall behind him, well within reach just in case but he felt relaxed enough to not have it on his back. Anyone stupid enough to start a fight here was in for a hell of a surprise.

And honestly, watching everything unfold was kind of the most entertaining thing he'd seen in awhile. Who knew the Turks actually knew how to have fun.]

She wasn't out to find herself a bed warmer, Tseng. Thanks but no thanks. Tonight was about clearing her head and just enjoying some time with the people she might actually consider friends. Not that she'd say it out loud.

"Surprisingly, yes," Cissnei said with a growing smile. "I want the record to state that it is in no way my fault if Reno can't walk out of here tonight."

I think Rude or even Tseng might be the better people to ask.

That elicited a chuckle from the Wutaian, his glass lifted to his lips for another sip.

"I never blame anyone but Reno for that," he offered with a shrug, letting her off the hook. "Despite what he'd have us believe, he's an adult. He can be responsible for himself once in a while."

...just what are you insinuating, Cissnei?

"I'm glad you have as much faith in him as you do the rest of us, sir." She liked Reno. Really. But Cissnei also knew that he wasn't everyone's favorite so it was nice to hear that their boss actually did seem to trust that Reno could handle himself.

Lifting her bottle to take another sip, her gaze slid towards the bar where the others had gathered.

"I didn't expect you to join us tonight."

Me? Insinuating? Why would I do that?

[She's just going to take another sip of her drink now, thank you very much.]

Because you're a Turk?

[She smirks against her glass, knocking it back before setting it on the bar once more.]

Touche.

So, what are you insinuating?

That you tend to spend a lot of your free time in other people's rooms.

[He cracks up and signals he'll pay for her next drink]

Sometimes they're in mine, y'know.
